Another String To My Bow.
Yesterday I officially started blogging for the TS17 area of The Evening Gazette. The TS17 of course stands for my postcode area.
You may be wondering, how did I come across this? Well, I noticed an advert in the TS17 Gazette, which is free, and it was “Calling All Bloggers” – I thought to myself, I fall into that category. So, I read the small article and registered my interest, yesterday I received a phone call asking me if I am still interested in blogging on their site. I obviously said yes.
So, I don’t know about you but I think it is definitely another string to my bow.
You can visit the site by clicking here.

That’s pretty cool. Do you get paid for it too? In any case, it’s a good opportunity to broaden your subjects and audience and it will increase your writing skills. Have fun with it mate. I wish my country would get in touch with the digital lifestyle a bit more. People still give you funny looks when you mention the word blog, let alone anything web 2.0-ish!
I don’t get paid for it, I didn’t expect to, to be honest. It never actually crossed my mind!
Lol, it’s a shame that your country is so behind on digital lifestyle!
Although if I am honest I do not actually understand web 2.0 properly, and as I could call myself a web developer I should know these things! – I need to do some research on that I think!
I guess no one really knows what it is exactly :–)
As far as I get it, the core of what is called web 2.0 is simply the read/write aspect of it. The internet before, was just content on more or less static sites, now it’s community, discussion and sharing. In addition to that, new technologies that allow all this have resulted in a particular look-and-feel. The bright designs and the funny names also were a trend that made these new interactive sites stand out. Well, that’s how I see it at least.
