Spam Tastes Nasty.
For some unknown reason spam is beginning to leak through the spam blocks and onto my blog. I know that spam blockers can’t stop everything but it gets a little frustrating when I am getting round 3-4 per day leaking through, both as comments and trackbacks. I am currently using Akismet and Bad Behaviour. I wondered if I should perhaps use another one although I don’t know whether or not it would make much difference. I suppose in essence it should help, I will just have to try one and see what happens. If anyone can suggest another spam blocker to work in conjunction with these to it would be much appreciated.
Do you get much spam working its way through the blockers? Feel free to discuss

Askimet seems to work fine on my wordpress blogs, and my Blogger blog uses capcha image verification which also works fine.
I do fine that every so often something slips through, but not nearly as much as on my email.
I used to think that Akismet worked ok, but even with bad behaviour there still seems to be flurries of it coming through. What makes it worse is that it comes through as an e-mail to my inbox with the subject line as something inappropriate (if it is spam). This happens for all comments though, but it just makes it worse when it is a spam comment/trackback which has worked its way through the blockers. I may have to look into using image verification. I used to use it and I had no problems but if it continues I may just have to use it.
Are you still getting spam through? I’ve just started to get some pharmaceutical ones through over the past 2 days and have deleted them but I don’t want this to be a constant thing.

Yeah I am
. I don’t know of any other decent spam blockers to put on… I just use comment moderation now so that if any slip through I can get rid of them before they are published.
